Picnic Amidst Nature
Finally, observing wildlife is another activity you can do in the park. Addu Atoll is sometimes referred to as "The Genuine Maldives" for its abundant and diversified ecological environment, including Addu Nature Park. Binoculars are a must-have for enthusiastic birdwatchers who want to spot the many different avifauna that soar over the southern skies. Most notable of these are the white terns, the same soft powdery white as the sands of Maldivian beaches, locally known as Dhondheeni. These delightful birds are native to Addu Atoll and can only be found in the South of the Maldives.
